Wood fired industrial heaters are relatively rare machines because, whilst there are lots of biomass boilers on the market, there are very few wood fired space heaters. Designed to heat industrial indoor environments, they come in a number of formats and fuel types including biomass pellet fed cabinet heaters, waste wood or log fired industrial heaters and waste wood or log fired cabinet heaters. These units can either be operated free standing with their own warm air outlet or connected to ducting to distribute warm air a bit more widely, possibly to adjacent rooms. It is important to note that these heaters, effective and well engineered as they are, do not qualify for RHI payments because they heat air directly, rather than heating water (like a biomass boiler).
