Steam fed heaters make the most of heat exchange physics to transfer heat into an airflow with a relatively small heater. Heat comes not just from the temperature of the steam but also from its change of state as it condenses inside the heat exchanger. The steam fed heaters that we supply are generally suited to run on steam in the 3 bar to 10 bar pressure range.

Steam fed heaters are a practical, cost-effective solution for large industrial applications that have a steam infrastructure with steam boiler and pipework in place. Steam fed heaters are available in various guises including for horizontal airflow and vertical airflow and can be equipped with 3 phase fan motors or single phase fans motors. For more testing environments including corrosive or explosion risk applications, we can offer units in stainless steel or with flameproof fan motors.
