Information

An adiabatic cool box is basically an evaporative cooler but without the fan inside. Air is cooled by drawing it through the wetted pads in the sides of the box but the air outlet is connected to an air handling unit or a ducting system where there is already a system fan to pull the air through the cooler.

These units are often used on fresh air intakes for air handling units or mounted on mixing boxes, so that cooled air can be drawn into the building when needed. Inside the adiabatic cool box is everything you would expect to find inside an evaporative cooler, including reservoir, water inlet system, recirculation pump, and drain valve.
